Some changes here and there!

Hello Blog-ettes!

I've added a couple items here on the blog and wanted to tell you why and what they can do for you - and me! First, you'll notice just at the top of the page a Google search box as well as Google ads. I placed the search box so if any readers want to search for their favorite Blue actor or anyone or anything else, they can easily do so right here. The ads and search links will generate a couple cents here and there for this website when you click on them and use the search engines. I'm not getting rich but every cent helps out these days, right?! The Amazon link is similar in that you can easily search for new releases of NYPD Blue on dvd and other series and books and all that Amazon offers. You can even go ahead and pre-order Season 3 of NYPD Blue & Season 1 of Beggars & Choosers - a wonderful comedy/drama series Charlotte Ross starred in on Showtime a couple years back. She's terrific in it!

Also, please take a moment and notice the NEW Links of the Month on the right-hand side of the page. I've added a link to Sophie's terrific site dedicated to Andy and Charlotte. There is SO much on her site - screen captures, video clips, montages - you really must check it out. Most of the site is in French but you can easily understand the links on the side of the homepage. And the photos ....well, they are universal!

I also added a link to Ask Ausiello on the TV Guide site. Ausiello answers questions emailed in weekly - the site is updated every Wednesday. So, ask your unanswered questions about Blue or ask what you favorites of Blue are up to these days.....like, for example, Where the HECK is Dennis Franz going to pop up? Commander In Chief with his old friend Bochco & MPG? On Deadwood with his buddy Milch? A TV Movie? Stopping by The West Wing to check in with his friend Jimmy Smits? Who knows.... Maybe Ausiello --- ASK AUSIELLO----he might just have the answer!! There is a link on the site to send your questions in.

Lastly, if there is anything or anyone you'd like to see here on the blog, please post them in the comments to this post. I'll try to find out as much as I can and what you want via my industry connections and pass that information along to you.

Charlotte joins the cast of ABC comedy!

Charlotte
Originally uploaded by Blue4You.
It's true - Charlotte will be joining the cast of the ABC comedy "Jake In Progress" when it returns to the line-up in January. The series, which aired last spring on ABC, stars John Stamos as a good looking publicist who is looking for more out of his life. Charlotte will portray Annie, the former fiance of Stamos' character. Her unexpected return into Jake's life prompts him to consider settling down, even though Annie is engaged to someone else. Sounds like this could be fun!

FINALLY, the wait is over for us fans of Charlotte Ross who have been climbing the walls waiting for her to return to TV or film! The wait is almost over!! Yippee!!

Danny and Andy? Andy and Bobby? Greg and Baldwin? Rita and Connie? Who are your favorite partners on Blue?

Sipowicz and Clark at work, originally uploaded by Blue4You.

Over the seasons, there were partners by the dozens on NYPD Blue. Who were your favorites or who would you have liked to see partner up on the show but it just never happened? I'd have to say Bobby and Andy were probably my favorite duo. They just clicked together. But Andy and John Clark were pretty good together too. The scene where Andy threw John's corn nuts out the car window was priceless! One of my favorite Andy and Bobby scenes was them singing Duke of Earl or Andy talking about "throwing his best hump" with Bobby. Also, although it was just temporary and wouldn't be my favorite partner duo, I really enjoyed Connie and Eddie Gibson together. They had some absolutely priceless scenes together. It provided some good semi-comic relief at times in the drama.

If I could have a fantasy partnership (am I too into my fantasy football right now or what?!) I might go with Andy and Connie or Andy and Rita. As I've mentioned before, I'm a card carrying member of the Andy and Connie club and I've so enjoyed the work of Dennis and Charlotte. They worked a few cases together - when Danny was missing - and they were just excellent together. I would also have liked to have seen Andy and Rita working together. I think Jacqueline Obradors is one of the most highly underrated cast members of this show. When she had the opportunities to shine she did so - brightly. But she only got a few chances to do so. I think if she had worked with Dennis Franz/Andy more often on a case it would have been wonderful. I think the writers dropped the ball when actress Jesslyn Gilsig was added to the show after Charlotte Ross left. Instead of adding a character that didn't offer much other than some minor friction or tension to the show I feel the series would have benefitted much more by giving Obradors more of a role. She should have moved up to Connie's desk and taken over that role of lead female detective. She was ready but the writers just didn't come through.

OK - now it's your turn to tell the world your 10 cents worth....inflation ya know. Post/Comment away!

What's up with Kim?

Kim
Originally uploaded by Blue4You.

I've been asked a lot over the past fews days what is going on with Kim Delaney. Well, I don't know! Since her court cast earlier this fall she's been out of the spotlight - which is probably a good thing. She needs to focus on herself and getting her life in order. I have no information on if or when she went to rehab or not. I did find out that the tv movie 10.5 Apocalypse began filming this summer in Canada and should be completed by now. BTW, Garcelle Beauvais is listed in the credits also.

former Blue stars on new sitcoms

Jackie on Freddie
Originally uploaded by Blue4You.

Just a little reminder: Jackie O co-stars on Freddie on ABC Wednesday nights - like in tonight! Jackie is one of 3 (I think) of the former cast members on new sitcoms this fall. The others are Gail O'Grady on Hot Properies (ABC) and Bonnie Somerville on Kitchen Confidential over at Fox. Anyone seen all three series? Any comments? Personally, I've seen Kitchen Confidential and I liked it. I've Tivo'ed Freddie but haven't watched it yet. Haven't seen Hot Properties....it just doesn't look appealing to me but I might be swayed to check it out if anyone says it's worthwhile. BTW, this photo of Jackie giving Freddie Prinz, Jr. a hug is from tonights episode of Freddie.
