On Thurday, Garcelle showed up for the world premiere of Angelina Jolie's new film, Wanted. The premiere was held at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Jolie wasn't in attendance, she was busy in France preparing for the birth of her twins.

Sharon finds work on 2 pilots

Sharon Lawrence is keeping busy these days. She recently completed work on the TV pilot "The Weight" which co-stars Linda Hamilton and Ed Asner. Now she moves to the ABC pilot "Prince of Motor City," which co-stars Piper Perabo and Warren Christie - a story about a young man who returns to his Detroit hometown to take over the family's car dealership and runs into his former girlfriend - and her mother (Lawrence).

Garcelle and the family head to the carnival for a good cause

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and husband Mike brought the twins out for the yearly A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation on Sunday afternoon. The event, which attracts hordes of celebrities, took place on the grounds of the Wadsworth Theater in West Los Angeles.

Jimmy Smits returns to TV this fall on Showtime's "Dexter"

Jimmy Smits has joined the cast of Showtime's drama series "Dexter." Smits will portray Miguel Prado, an ambitious assistant district attorney who comes from one of Miami's most politically powerful families.

Dexter (Michael C. Hall), a blood-spatter expert for the Miami Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer, will join forces with Prado, who has risen in the ranks because his aggressive stance against crime, in the pursuit of a murderer who affects both of their lives directly.

Smits will be featured in 10 of the third season's 12 episodes, scheduled to premiere in the fall.
