Well, in at least 2 episodes of the CW's Privileged. Sharon will be joining the series for episodes 11 and 12 as the mother of lead actress Joanna Garcia, who plays Megan. If you haven't seen the show, it's good fun to watch! It centers around Megan, the tutor of two spoiled rich kids in Palm Beach. Megan is from "the other side of the tracks" in Palm Beach but went to college, was a writer in New York and is now doing "research" for her story on how the wealthy live in her hometown. Little things get in the way - dating the headmaster of the wealthy kids school, running into her old friends, reuniting with Dad and her trailer trash sister who she never got along with. Anne Archer plays the rich kids grandmother. Check it out.

An annual Hollywood event that brings out the stars

Last night the Beverly Hilton Hotel hosted the 30th annual Carousel of Hope Ball. The yearly event raises funds for the Children's Diabetes Foundation and is always a hot ticket. This year's event honored Denzel Washington and his family and featured performances by Josh Groban, Katherine McPhee and the Jonas Brothers. Representing NYPD Blue's former cast were Sharon Lawrence and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon.

Bonnie Somerville mugged, friend shot

Bonnie Somerville was mugged after leaving the T-Mobile party - which was posted below - and shortly after this photo was taken. Leaving the party at approximately 2am on Saturday morning, in a somewhat marginal area of Hollywood, Bonnie's male friend was shot and she was robbed of her purse as they waited for their car in the valet parking area. Her friend's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Dexter stunt goes wrong --- Jimmy Smits stabs stuntman

From the National Enquirer: Actor Jimmy Smits, who plays district attorney Miguel Prado, stabbed an actor in the chest several times during a scene in which he accidentally picked up a real knife that was inexplicably put right next to a fake prop knife on set. Smits stabbed actor Jeff Chase in the chest with a knife he assumed was a prop. He easily could have killed him, but as luck had it Chase was wearing a chest plate, which saved his life:

Dexter star Michael C. Hall screamed in horror “Stop! Stop! Stop!” as fellow actor Jimmy Smits stabbed another actor repeatedly in the chest with a real knife on the set of their hit show.

The shocking September 5 incident occurred after a real knife was mistakenly placed next to a theatrical prop knife.

“During a horrific execution scene with actor Jeff Chase, Smits was so into the part he kept stabbing Chase ferociously with what he thought was a fake knife,” a shaken eyewitness told the Enquirer…

Smits was so caught up in the emotionally charged scene, it took him about 16 seconds to stop. “By a miracle, Chase escaped without a cut because he had a protective chest plate on underneath his clothes,” said the source.

Rick Schroder helps to build a better Los Angeles

Rick Schroder turned out last night for the Building A Better Los Angeles gala at the Beverly Hilton. The event was hosted by Gov. Schwarzenegger and benefitted Habitat for Humanity.
