Before Christmas Dennis and Joanie Franz attended the holiday brunch hosted by former race car driver, Andy Grannatelli. The annual event brings out the best and brightest of Santa Barbara including Kevin Costner, Dennis Miller, director Ivan Reitman, radio's Dr. Laura, and our very own Dennis. Dennis reappeared last night in Santa Barbara - for a reception at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel for Santa Barbara Film Festival honoree Will Smith. The evening also marked the grand unveiling of the recently restored hotel. Here's a small image of Dennis with hotel GM, Karen Earp. Also, another wee image of our favorite Blue guy from the opening night of the film festival with the events director.

After a long absence...two Charlotte events coming up!

We all know Charlotte's Lifetime movie, Montana Sky, will air on February 5th. Now comes word Charlotte will be seen in next week's Law & Order! The episode scheduled for Friday, February 2nd, features Charlotte as the guest star. The episode synopsis is: A student is shot at a politically charged college assembly and the investigation leads to a Ph.D. student dealing in embryonic-stem-cell research who feels threatened by the tactics of the assembly speaker (Charlotte Ross)---a right-wing conservative. I don't know more than this and will be looking for more information on both Law & Order (the original) and Montana Sky.

who needs Sundance when you have the Santa Barbara Film Festival AND Dennis Franz!

Dennis is back in Santa Barbara and took in the opening night of the Santa Barbara Film Festival last night. He's seen here with festival director Roger Durling at the post-premiere party for Shop Girl at Paseo Nuevo.

The Television Critics Association annual winter conference continues in Pasadena. On Friday they interviewed the cast of the upcoming CW Network series Hidden Palms. Both Gail O'Grady and Sharon Lawrence will star in this show which has generated loads of buzz....can't wait!

Charlotte in Montana Sky....finally something

Here's our first glimpse of Charlotte Ross in the Lifetime movie Montana Sky. The film debuts February 5th at 9PM and co-stars John Corbett and Ashley Williams. Charlotte portrays a LA writer caught up in the world of Hollywood until she takes over her father's ranch after his death. Check back here for more info on Montana Sky shortly!

Kim looked great as she faced the photographers when she arrived and during the cast appearance for the press. (Too bad her former Blue partner wasn't around for a photo op - see below.)

Blue stars surface for Pre-Golden Globe events

The Golden Globes will be handed out next week in Hollywood and the pre-event gift suites and parties are in full swing in SoCal! Yesterday saw Bonnie Somerville, Sharon Lawrence and Garcelle B-N checking out the gift suites of the Diamond Information Center. Lots of fashion, press and bling! Too bad someone couldn't get the three (or 2 of 3) to pose together....maybe next time.

Where the h3l! is Charlotte Ross?????

The Television Critics Association is meeting this week in Pasadena - interviewing actors about their Spring projects. Yesterday the cast of the upcoming (Feb. 5) Nora Roberts Lifetime film Montana Sky met with the critics. Charlotte Ross is one of the ensemble cast members of this romantic drama and many of her fans were hoping this Pasadena event would be her first appearance in about a year.....but no such luck! Where was she? Instead, John Corbett (pictured here from yesterday's event) and other cast members were there to take questions about the movie project from the press and for candid photo ops. Another disappointment for Charlotte's fans who were anticipating her appearance. Will someone please tell us when we might see her in public again??? Please!!!

I know, I know...I'm complaining again. But it's been a long time...a really long time since we've seen Dennis Franz on the small screen - or any screen for that matter. I know he said he wanted to take a break, play some golf, do some traveling and relax with his family after Blue went off the air but come on....isn't it time for him to turn up in a TV movie? a guest spot on a TV show? a commercial? Anything! Please! Don't make me beg...it isn't pretty.

Medavoy switches from NYPD to LVPD

Liev Schreiber and Gordon Clapp, who appeared on Broadway together in "Glengarry Glen Ross," will reunite in an upcoming episode of "CSI." Gordon will play a sleazy mortician on the episode. No word on when it airs....so keep checking your TV Guide.

Esai hits Puerto Rico

It's been almost 3 weeks since we've had a sighting of any of the former Blue-sters. I'm not liking this - where are these guys! It's been almost a year since we've had a blip on the radar screen from Charlotte Ross! Don't even get me going on that fact. Since her Lifetime movie should be airing next month, I would expect something sometime soon.....one can only hope. Anyways, I did come across this image of Esai that I had apparently missed in December. Esai was looking fine, as always, while in Puerto Rico for the Shakira concert before Christmas.
