Hello Blog-ettes!
It's true - Charlotte will be joining the cast of the ABC comedy "Jake In Progress" when it returns to the line-up in January. The series, which aired last spring on ABC, stars John Stamos as a good looking publicist who is looking for more out of his life. Charlotte will portray Annie, the former fiance of Stamos' character. Her unexpected return into Jake's life prompts him to consider settling down, even though Annie is engaged to someone else. Sounds like this could be fun!
...for Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The celebration was entitled Heroes and High Hopes and took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Henry attended the Mary J Blige concert at the Henry Fonda Theatre last night in LA. Where's Eva?!
Mark Paul Gosselaar will be joining the hit ABC series Commander-In-Chief on the 9th episode. Gosselaar will be playing a yet to be named savy media stategist. Looks like he'll be hooking up with former boss Steven Bochco who has just taken over the reigns of the drama starring Gina Davis, Donald Sutherland and Kyle Secor.
Over the seasons, there were partners by the dozens on NYPD Blue. Who were your favorites or who would you have liked to see partner up on the show but it just never happened? I'd have to say Bobby and Andy were probably my favorite duo. They just clicked together. But Andy and John Clark were pretty good together too. The scene where Andy threw John's corn nuts out the car window was priceless! One of my favorite Andy and Bobby scenes was them singing Duke of Earl or Andy talking about "throwing his best hump" with Bobby. Also, although it was just temporary and wouldn't be my favorite partner duo, I really enjoyed Connie and Eddie Gibson together. They had some absolutely priceless scenes together. It provided some good semi-comic relief at times in the drama.
If I could have a fantasy partnership (am I too into my fantasy football right now or what?!) I might go with Andy and Connie or Andy and Rita. As I've mentioned before, I'm a card carrying member of the Andy and Connie club and I've so enjoyed the work of Dennis and Charlotte. They worked a few cases together - when Danny was missing - and they were just excellent together. I would also have liked to have seen Andy and Rita working together. I think Jacqueline Obradors is one of the most highly underrated cast members of this show. When she had the opportunities to shine she did so - brightly. But she only got a few chances to do so. I think if she had worked with Dennis Franz/Andy more often on a case it would have been wonderful. I think the writers dropped the ball when actress Jesslyn Gilsig was added to the show after Charlotte Ross left. Instead of adding a character that didn't offer much other than some minor friction or tension to the show I feel the series would have benefitted much more by giving Obradors more of a role. She should have moved up to Connie's desk and taken over that role of lead female detective. She was ready but the writers just didn't come through.
OK - now it's your turn to tell the world your 10 cents worth....inflation ya know. Post/Comment away!
I've been asked a lot over the past fews days what is going on with Kim Delaney. Well, I don't know! Since her court cast earlier this fall she's been out of the spotlight - which is probably a good thing. She needs to focus on herself and getting her life in order. I have no information on if or when she went to rehab or not. I did find out that the tv movie 10.5 Apocalypse began filming this summer in Canada and should be completed by now. BTW, Garcelle Beauvais is listed in the credits also.
James McDaniel, currently starring off-Broadway in A Soldier's Play, got the word his show will be continued through late November. McDaniel's has recieved excellent reviews in the play in which he co-stars with Taye Diggs.

Don't miss Without A Trace on November 10. Gordon Clapp will be guesting on the CBS series as a man who reportedly let his marriage and career slip away after his teenaged daughter succumbed to leukemia. The "Without A Trace" team's search leads them to a mystery girl featured in an abundance of child porn photos found in the missing man's home.
Henry and Garcelle arrived together for the Environment Media Awards last night at the Ebell Theatre in LA. The awards salute outstanding use of environment themes in the media.
Just a little reminder: Jackie O co-stars on Freddie on ABC Wednesday nights - like in tonight! Jackie is one of 3 (I think) of the former cast members on new sitcoms this fall. The others are Gail O'Grady on Hot Properies (ABC) and Bonnie Somerville on Kitchen Confidential over at Fox. Anyone seen all three series? Any comments? Personally, I've seen Kitchen Confidential and I liked it. I've Tivo'ed Freddie but haven't watched it yet. Haven't seen Hot Properties....it just doesn't look appealing to me but I might be swayed to check it out if anyone says it's worthwhile. BTW, this photo of Jackie giving Freddie Prinz, Jr. a hug is from tonights episode of Freddie.
Henry Simmons showed up at Smashbox Studios to watch the runway shows of several designers on Tuesday, October 18th. His fiance, Eva Pigford, modeled in several of the shows. Henry was also sporting a new look as you can see in this photo. I like! Henry, you always look good in my book!
...on your pending nuptials! The reps for both Henry and model Eva Pigford confirmed that the couple has recently become engaged and plan to wed next spring. Congrats!
Garcelle Beauvais Nilon and her husband, Michael Nilon took in the Kevan Hall runway show at Smashbox in Culver City on Sunday. Front row, of course! The event helps kick off the Fashion Week of events in LA.
Gail arrives at the annual Lili Claire Foundation Benefit at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday. The Foundation raises funds for counseling and advocacy services for children living with neurogenetic birth defects and their families.

Since it appears the former cast of Blue is keeping a low profile these days --- let's hope they are saving up for the holiday party season right around the corner --- I thought it might be a good time to ask the ever popular question....Which episode of Blue was your personal favorite? I've got a few - You Da Bomb, Ho Down, Oedipus Wrecked....you can see where I'm going. I've a fan of the Andy and Connie storyline and the work of actors Dennis Franz and Charlotte Ross. What is your favorite episode? Just click the comment link below this post and tell us which episodes are your favorites and why....come on, it doesn't hurt and you don't even have to tell us your name...Post away!
