Gordon Clapp was a guest at Canadian Consulate's home in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The occasion was the presentation of the ACTRA Award of Excellence to actor Kiefer Sutherland. ACTRA is the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists.

Debra Monk took part in the 21st annual Broadway Flea Market this weekend. The event raises funds for a variety of charities including Broadway Cares. She's seen here with for Frasier star, David Hyde Pierce, at the event.

Esai joins film cast

Esai Morales has joined the cast of La Linea, a feature film about the notorious Arellano Felix drug cartel in Tijuana. The film also stars Ray Liotta. Andy Garcia is in talks to join the cast. Morales will portray a violent lieutenant running the cartel. Filming starts in October in Los Angeles and Mexico.

Gordon Clapp is at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the premiere of his feature The Game Plan. The Disney film stars The Rock, Kyra Sedgwick and Gordon's former NYPD Blue co-star, Paige Turco - Abby Sullivan. The film looks like fun - check it out in a theatre near you soon! BTW - the pic was taken at this afternoon's premiere.

Charlotte Ross appearing in new Lifetime movie

Charlotte Ross is currently in Puerto Rico filming the Lifetime movie, Christmas in Paradise. The film, which is about two families on a Christmas cruise to San Juan, will air this December on the cable channel. No word yet on co-stars. More news on this soon!

Cashmere Mafia filming in New York

Bonnie Somerville and Lucy Liu were spotted in Madison Square Park on Thursday, filming ABC's Cashmere Mafia. Looks like Bonnie was checking those emails and text messages during a break in filming. If you're in the NYC area be on the lookout for Cashmere Mafia and Sex In The City: The Movie - both filming in the city right now.

The Jane Austen Book Club premiered last night in Los Angeles. The film stars Jimmy Smits, Amy Brenneman, Maria Bella and Hugh Dancy. Jimmy's pretty busy these days, with filming on his new tv series Cane and promoting the film.

Bonnie Somerville and Band From Television performed at the post-Emmy Governor's Ball. The band, which includes James Denton and Hugh Laurie, is a regular at the party and a Hollywood favorite. Bonnie and James Denton took in the awards show too.

Henry shopped the Pre Emmy gift suites over the weekend. After trying on some shades at the Luxottica Eyewear Lounge he moved over to the HBO Luxury Suite - where it appears he was checking out some denim. Both events were held at the 4 Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Love the crooked smile!

Rehersal time at the Emmys

The Emmy Awards are tonight on Fox. Saturday the show did a run through with presenters at the Shrine Auditorium. Jimmy Smits, soon to be see on the CBS drama Cane, took part - so it looks like we'll be seeing some of Smits during the show!

Entertainment Weekly update

Entertainment Weekly magazine held it's 5th annual Pre-Emmy bash last night in Los Angeles. The stars turned out big time! Bonnie Somerville, who's Cashmere Mafia debuts in December on ABC, represented the former Blue cast at the event.

Emmy Weekend

Pre-Emmy parties are in full swing around Los Angeles with the Emmy Awards taking place this Sunday - airing 8PM Eastern on Fox. Kim Delaney was in town for the festivities and attended The Gersh Agency's party on Friday night at Sunset Tower. Kim is seen here with Bob Gersh at the party.

Jessalyn Gilsig, Blue's former Detective Kelly Ronson, has joined the cast of Friday Night Lights. Gilsig will portray Coach Taylor's sister in law, who comes to help her sister out with the new baby. She has signed on for a minimum of 6 episodes. The new season of Friday Night Lights starts October 5.

Jessalyn has quite an impressive list of television series on her resume. They include Heroes (hey - she's the cheerleaders mom!), Nip/Tuck, Prison Break, Law & Order, Boston Public and NYPD Blue.

Mark-Paul takes the clothes off his back

Mark-Paul Gosselaar showed up last night at a charity event for Clothes Off Our Back - a group which auctions clothes donated by celebs after wearing them at such events as the Emmys, Grammys, etc. Proceeds go to variety of worthy causes.
