she's got to be one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood!
Jessalyn Gilsig, Blue's former Detective Kelly Ronson, has joined the cast of Friday Night Lights. Gilsig will portray Coach Taylor's sister in law, who comes to help her sister out with the new baby. She has signed on for a minimum of 6 episodes. The new season of Friday Night Lights starts October 5.
Jessalyn has quite an impressive list of television series on her resume. They include Heroes (hey - she's the cheerleaders mom!), Nip/Tuck, Prison Break, Law & Order, Boston Public and NYPD Blue.

I always liked Jessalyn on Blue but I don't think some of the viewers wanted to see her, as they considered her a replacement for Charlotte/Connie - hey, she just auditioned for the part/job, she didn't have anything to do with Charlotte getting pregnant and leaving. She's a good actress who was only given so-so material on Blue - and it didn't properly show her acting abilities. I'm glad to see she'll be back on the small screen this fall. I'd love to see her back on Heroes. Congrats Jessalyn!
