A week without Dennis - that really wasn't

I know, the title is a bit confusing. Here's what happened this week with Dennis Franz. Last Sunday, Dennis and Joanie Franz attended the Rudy Giuliani fundraiser in Montecito. The $2300 per person outdoor brunch was held at the home of friends of the Franz's. Then, on Thursday, The Food Network aired an oldie but a goodie from it's vaults - a 2004 episode of Inside Dish with Rachael Ray where she traveled to Montecito and visited with Dennis. They also joined Tricia Franz in the kitchen to make crabcakes. Anyone out there happen to see that episode?

Austin Majors sighting -- second in 2 weeks!

Austin Majors and his sister Kali attended the annual CARE Awards yesterday, held in Universal City. CARE stands for Child Actor Recognition Event and recognizes kids for their accomplishments in acting as well as academics and community involvement.

Last night in Beverly Hills...

...was the 21st Annual Genesis Awards. The event was put on by the Hollywood office of the Humane Society of the US. Television shows, films, and other media are honored for the positive treatment and showcasing of animals. I was really hoping Charlotte Ross or Dennis Franz would be turning out for this event. Both are honorary board members for the association plus Charlotte hosted the awards a couple years ago while she was on Blue. But, unfortunately, neither made an appearance. :( We did get to see Esai Morales! He joined a large number of Hollywood's brightest attending the event and, if this photo is any indication, it looks like he had a great time!

Garcelle attends LA's Fashion Week's closing day

LA's Fashion Week came to an end today. Several runway shows took place and Garcelle was sitting in the front row for the Kimora Lee Simmons event. She's seen here catching up with old modeling friend Tyra Banks before the show. As always, Garcelle looked fab - love the earings!

Better later than never --- a Charlotte sighting!

Ok, I know, this is an old sighting but since we hardly get anything in the way of an appearance by Charlotte these days, I thought I would go ahead and post it since it's been, well, ages since we've seen her out being Charlotte!

Charlotte attended the grand opening of Animal Acres, a farm animal sanctuary and compassionate living center located about 45 minutes south of Los Angeles. Over 150 rescued farm animals call Animal Acres home. Additionally, the facility offers public education and outreach programs to the public. The event took place in late October 2005. Charlotte is seen here with Animal Acres founder Lorri Bauston - looks like fun!

John Varvatos Boutique event brings them out

Sharon Lawrence, with husband Tom Apostle, and Henry Simmons turned out on Sunday at a fund raiser at the John Varvatos Boutique. The event benefited the Rape Treatment Center in Santa Monica.

My how he's grown! Austin Majors spotting in Studio City

It's been almost a year to the day that we last saw Austin Majors - and boy has he grown! Yesterday he made an appearance at the 28th Annual Young Artists Awards. The event was held at the Sportman's Lodge.

Soul Train Awards are 21 years old...

....so let's have an awards show! Last night was the 21st Annual Soul Train Awards held in Pasadena. Henry Simmons was a presenter in addition to looling good - as he always does!

Sharon Lawrence performed at the annual "A Night at Sardi's" benefit last night. The event was held at the Beverly Hilton and raises money for Alzheimers research.

I know, we're all missing Dennis Franz and pickings are pretty slim of recent appearances by our beloved Andy.
