Charlotte in new TV movie

Hadn't heard anything on this until today - Charlotte is in a new action movie produced by Spike TV called Ring of Death. The brief description says a man goes undercover to investigate the illegal world of prison fights for profit. Charlotte portrays the ex-wife of the undercover investigator. Don't know when or where it's scheduled to air. Google it - there are clips of the movie all over the net.

How did we miss this one!? Charlotte Ross and Esai Morales

The 2008 Genesis Awards were held in late March. The annual event recognizes those in the media whose talents and journalistic integrity have raised awareness of animal issues. The awards are sponsored by the Humane Society of the U.S. Both Charlotte Ross and Esai Morales attended and were presented. Watch for this to possibly be rebroadcast on the Animal Planet.

Henry announces nominees

Henry Simmons was one of the announcers for the 18th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards nominees today. The event took place at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood.

Mark-Paul and Bochco reunite

The TNT Network held it's presentation of new, and returning, shows in New York today. Among the shows previewed was Raising The Bar, the network's new legal drama produced by Steven Bochco and starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Gosselaar and Bochco are seen with the series other cast members Jane Kaczmarek and Gloria Reuben.

Bonnie Somerville was one of many celebrities attending the Lucky Club gift suite today. The event is being held in conjunction with the network Upfronts in New York.

Rick Schroder alert in North Carolina!

Rick Schroder is currently filming the TV movie "Blood Done Sign My Name" around North Carolina. Filming will take place around Shelby, Gastonia, Union County and the city of Charlotte.

The drama is based on the true story of a black Vietnam veteran was falsely accused of the 1970 murder of a white woman in Oxford, North Carolina, and the teacher who helped exonerate the man.

Esai lands a new gig

Esai Morales, fresh from the cancelled Jericho, has joined the cast of the Sci-Fi Network's series Caprica. The new series, set to air later this year, is the prequel to Battlestar Gallactica. Others cast include Paula Malcomson, formerly of Deadwood and John From Cinncinnati. Can anyone say Milch?

Rick Schroder visits soldiers at Fort Hood

Rick Schroder and son Luke, 14, visited Fort Hood in Texas earlier this month. While there the Schroders met with soldiers, rode in an Abrams tank and tried out the Apache helicopter Training Simulator. Both of Rick's grandfathers were in the military.
